Protest

Can anyone tell me how can a government ignore 120 thousand teachers protesting - on a Saturday - in the streets of Lisbon?
Are these 120,000 people all lazy, irresponsible and unwilling to be assessed teachers? Then probably, all the reporters, policemen, tv anchormen and even some government elements who critised them had lazy, irresponsible and ridiculous teachers...
There is usually the idea, which I believe to be right, that if all the students and parents complain about the same teacher, then there must be something wrong with the teacher, because not all students are wrong. What is the conclusing we get from 120,000 teachers and one minister? Maybe a despotic sovereign... Louis XIV comes to my mind, although the hairdo is slightly less exotic.
